“The Clare Valley Aerodrome is one of the most exciting and beneficial projects undertaken in our district for a long time.” Adrian Smith, President of CVFG.

The Clare Valley Aerodrome is located 14km from the township of Clare. In 2010, the CVFG completed parts of Stage One of the Action Plan to establish an Aerodrome for the region. Currently, a North-South 1200m x18m Runway, built to RFDS standards for aircraft 5,700kg, stands at the aerial site.

vineyards, and heritage buildings, which from the sky, looks like a patchwork of villages and trees.

The Aerodrome was constructed in 2010 to bring aerial activities to the Clare Valley region and to connect the mid north with surrounding states and cities. It’s the perfect stop-off location between the South and the North (from Adelaide to the Flinders Ranges and beyond), and the West and the East, (between Western Australia and Victoria). It’s also a convenient stop over when passing through to QLD and the Top End.

With more than 35 cellar doors to visit, an array of bed & breakfast and luxury accommodation options and fine dining restaurants aplenty, the Clare Valley is a fantastic place to stay and visit.

Pickups and car tours can be arranged from the Aerodrome to explore the region. Read More...
